Day 290: Love and Hope

January 7, 2021

Shelter in Place, San Francisco, January 7, 2021

Having guessed that this was going to be a tough week, I gain no pleasure from being right. Yesterday was a dark, dark day, worse than the predilections some of us have harbored for four long years, grimmer than the black clouds we saw forming over the hill. Like everyone, I spent the day and into the night glued to the shocking images of misled, delusional citizens and conniving, self-serving Congressional ’leaders’ trashing our democracy.

Today is a better day and I am walking the neighborhood looking for signs of hope. Thank you Georgia. Here’s to better days to come.
